Temper & Brown is bringing bold Caribbean flavours, good vibes, and unforgettable dishes to Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. The friendly, relaxed neighbourhood bar, which reopened last August under owner Roifield Brown, boasts a hidden courtyard and an exciting food offering that now spans from morning brunch through to evening dining.
From 10am to 3pm, Temper & Brown has partnered with Allendale Café to serve a range of brunch classics, including freshly brewed coffee, hearty breakfasts, granola bowls, sandwiches and café favourites. As the day moves into the afternoon and evening, the menu transforms into a celebration of vibrant Caribbean flavours.
The kitchen serves up a menu packed with flavour, featuring standout dishes such as classic Curry Mutton, Salt Fish Fritters, and other island-inspired favourites. Every dish combines authentic Caribbean cooking with a contemporary twist, delivering food that's rich in flavour, colour, and soul.
Among the menu's highlights are the classic Curry Mutton, slow-cooked until beautifully tender in a richly spiced Caribbean curry sauce, and the Salt Fish Fritters, crisp on the outside, light and fluffy within, and served with a punchy dipping sauce. Together, they showcase the comforting, bold flavours that have made Caribbean cuisine a favourite around the world.
